Construction Staking is the process of transforming construction plans into points on the ground that is used for the actual construction. This type of surveying is three dimensional and establishes the vertical location as well as the horizontal. The vertical location is necessary for site drainage and flow of sewer and storm drain pipes.
The results of construction staking can be seen in every improvement that we see in our daily lives from the roads that we drive on to the places where we live, work and shop. Virtually all man-made improvements involve some amount of construction staking.
One often unseen aspect of construction staking is monitoring, or subsidence surveying, of the adjacent improvements to determine how the conditions on the site are affecting the adjacent properties.
From the largest projects to the smallest, Snedaker Land Surveying has the knowledge and experience to handle all aspects of construction staking.
